Jaya Suprana, born Liauw Kok Tjiang (born January 27, 1949), is an Indonesian composer, pianist, businessman, and television presenter. Suprana was born in Denpasar, Bali and was adopted as a child by Lambang and Lily Suprana; he is of Chinese descent but grew up within Javanese culture. He is married to Julia Suprana but has since separated from her and has no biological children. He studied music at Musikhochschule Muenster and Folkwang-Hochschule Essen, West Germany, between 1967 and 1976, and since then has given piano recitals worldwide, as well as composing his own music.
