BLANK PLANET from Bonn, Germany, presents a songbased progressive rock which contains influences ranging from the big bands of the genres beginning to recent bands. Mellotron sounds and thundering basspedals evoke reminiscences of Genesis and Yes, heavy guitar riffs remind on King Crimson, the atmosphere on Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree. Ranging from minimalism to bombast and always containing fluid grooves – that’s how BLANK PLANET define their own music.
