17 Lyrics

We've become nothing at all
Lead through the back of our spines
And as our heads hit the floor
We were dead 17 times
And every minute regret
That sank its teeth in my mind
Says all that needs to be said
And said it 17 times
Oh, oh, oh, we never did let it come to this
So don't give up me
Yet
I still can't forget
And while I'm still late
Some might say, some might say
I'll be your biggest regret
They say I'm never inept
Oh lay oh, Oh lay oh
So don't give up on me yet

And everything that I said
Was just a slip of the tongue
To reinforce when I meant
That cliche; you're number one
Let me through, oh, so far away
And said it 17 times
So don't give up on me
Yet
I still can't forget
And while I'm still late
Some might say, some might say
I'll be your biggest regret
They say I'm never inept
Oh lay oh, Oh lay oh
So don't give up on me yet
I still can't forget
And while I'm still late
Some might say, some might say
I'll be your biggest regret
They say I'm never inept
Oh lay oh, Oh lay oh
So don't give up on me
Don't give up on me
Oh lay oh, oh lay oh x8
We've become nothing at all
Lead through the back of our spines
And as our heads hit the floor
We were dead 17 times
And every minute regret
That sank its teeth in my mind
Says all that needs to be said
And said it 17 times

They have also shared the stage with many big name artists such as McFly, Hellogoodbye, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and The Veronicas, many of which while still completing their HSC. However, in 2012 , the group split, releasing their final song. Their third album remains unreleased.

Shaun Diviney, Andy Clemmensen and Bradie Webb met on the train to the Hunter School of Performing Arts in Newcastle, New South Wales . Eventually, they decided to form a band and named it Short Stack. Originally, Shannon Hotchkins played drums, Webb played guitar, Clemmensen played bass and Diviney was the lead vocalist. However, after Hotchkins left, Diviney heard Webb playing on the drums and realised that he had the talent. So, Diviney became the lead vocalist and guitarist, Clemmensen stayed on bass, and Webb became the drummer
