21st Century Girl Lyrics

Give me an inch
I promise I'll take a mile
Danger is beauty
I'll face it with a smileI'm on a mission
With no restrictions
Don't second guess myself
I'm born to be wildI'm the type of chick
That likes to rock the beat
I like to rock the beat
I like to rock, to rock the beat21st century girl, I do what I like
21st century girl, I'm taking you for a ride
21st century girl, yeah, I'm gonna live it up
Just live it up21st century girl, a beautiful life
21st century girl, us walking side by side
21st century girl, yeah, I'm gonna live it up
Just live it upStep on the brakes, then I'ma step on the gas
I am a rebel, but I do it with class
I set the boundaries, the rules don't own me

I'm living life on the edge, I choose my pathI'm the type of chick
That likes to rock the beat
I like to rock the beat
I like to rock, to rock the beatI'm the kind of chick
That knocks you off your feet
That knocks you off your feet
That knocks you off, off your feet21st century girl, I do what I like
21st century girl, I'm taking you for a ride
21st century girl, yeah, I'm gonna live it up
Just live it up21st century girl, a beautiful life
21st century girl, us walking side by side
21st century girl, yeah, I'm gonna live it up
Just live it upI feel like I can take over the world
If only I get my dreams out
Pull gold from my soul, pull diamonds from my heart
It's that new girl thinking and this song is just the start21st century girl, I do what I like
21st century girl, I'm taking you for a ride
21st century girl, yeah, I'm gonna live it up
Just live it up21st century girl, a beautiful life
21st century girl, us walking side by side
21st century girl, yeah, I'm gonna live it up
Just live it up, yeah21st century girl
I'm a 21st century girl
I'm a 21st century girl
I'm a 21st century girl

Jeffry Ross Hyman (May 19, 1951 – April 15, 2001), better known as Joey Ramone, was the vocalist and co-songwriter for the legendary punk rock group Ramones. He and fellow band-mate Johnny Ramone were the only two members who stayed with the band until their retirement in 1996. Besides his work with the group, Joey has had a successful posthumous solo career. Joey grew up in Forest Hills, Queens, feeling optimistic about the future but just a hairs breath above poverty. His mother, Charlotte, encouraged an interest in music in both Joey and his brother Mitchell Hyman a/k/a Mickey Leigh.
