867-5309 (Jenny) Lyrics

Jenny, Jenny who can I turn to?
You give me something I can hold on to
I know you'll think I'm like the others before
Who saw your name and number on the wallJenny, I've got your number
I need to make you mine
Jenny don't change your number867-5309
(867-5309)
867-5309
(867-5309)Jenny, Jenny, you're the girl for me
You don't know me but you make me so happy
I tried to call you before but I lost my nerve
I tried my imagination but I was disturbedJenny I've got your number
I need to make you mine
Jenny don't change your number867-5309
(867-5309)

Tommy Tutone is a new wave/power pop band. It is best known for their 80s rock hit "867-5309/Jenny". The band is often called a typical example of a "one-hit wonder", since their other songs never had the same chart success (although they received much airplay). Other singles include "Angel Say No" (which hit #38 on the Billboard Hot 40) and "Teen Angel Eyes" (part of the soundtrack to The Last American Virgin). The group disbanded in the mid-80s after a brief run of success, but it returned in the mid-90s.
