A Bridge That Just Won't Burn Lyrics

I threw away the pictures of those better days in Dallas
But I can't throw away these pictures in my mind, no, no
She's a page of precious memories, I've tried hard to turn
She's standing on a bridge that just won't burnIf only time will heal the hurt then this may last forever
I may never know how it feels to forget
Every time I think about her, those old feelings still return
She's standing on a bridge that just won't burnI've burned a lot of bridges in my time
But the one I just crossed over, Lord it ain't the burning kind
She's that once in a lifetime kind of love that never will return
She's standing on a bridge that just won't burn
Oh, she's standing on a bridge that just won't burn

Conway Twitty (1 September 1933 – 5 June 1993), born Harold Lloyd Jenkins, was one of the United States' most successful artists of the 20th century. Twitty had the most singles (55) reach Number 1 on various national music charts. Conway Twitty's across the board totals were greater than that of Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, and Garth Brooks. Most notably known as a country music singer, Twitty also enjoyed success in early Rock and Roll, R&B, and Pop music (among other genres). He teamed up with Loretta Lynn to form one of country music's most successful business partnerships.
