A Simple Life Lyrics

Show me the magic, I must've lost it somewhere
In my dreams, so far away
I turned around, every thing's changing but me
Where is the soul in my song?
And once there was Heaven in my eyes
Whatever happened to those skies
Somebody show me
How to get back to the simple life
Out of the blue, temptation's all around me
The train came along and I got on board
Danced with the darkness, the skies were the limit
It's such a long way to fall
And once there was Heaven in my eyes
Whatever happened to those skies
Somebody show me
How to get back to the simple life
'Cause I've done my time in paradise
I've tried it all maybe once or twice

Somebody show me
How to get back to the simple life
Stars keep me going
And the moon is there to light my way
I need to go where my heart is free
Looking for the way back
Hoping for the way back
Somebody show me
How to get back to the simple life
'Cause I've done my time in paradise
I've tried it all maybe once or twice
Somehow the grass was
Always greener on the other side
Once there was Heaven in my eyes
Whatever happened to those skies
Somebody show me
How to get back to the simple life
I've tried it all maybe once or twice
Somebody show me, show, show
(Show)
Show me the simple life
Once there was Heaven in my eyes
Whatever happened to those skies
Once there was Heaven in my eyes
Somebody show me, show, show
(Show)
Show me the simple life
Once there was Heaven in my eyes
Whatever happened to those skies
Show me how to get back to

Born in Hollywood, California, Brian has been composing music as long as he can remember. Family members tell him that when he was very young he began whistling nearly all the time. When someone would ask what he was whistling, Brian would usually answer something like, "I don't know. I just made it up." He was only six years old when his parents bought a baby grand piano, thinking that Brian's musical talents could use a more polished medium. But Brian continued to whistle his songs. He was not drawn to the keyboard.
