A Thousand Miles from Nowhere Lyrics

I'm a thousand miles from nowhere
Time don't matter to me
'Cause I'm a thousand miles from nowhere
And there's no place I want to beI got heartaches in my pocket
I got echoes in my head
And all that I keep hearing
Are the cruel things that you saidI'm a thousand miles from nowhere
Time don't matter to me
'Cause I'm a thousand miles from nowhere
And there's no place I want to beOh, I
Oh ho, I
Oh, I
Oh, IOh, I
Oh ho, I
Oh, I
Oh, I
YeahhhI've got bruises on my memory
I've got tear stains on my hands

And in the mirror there's a vision
Of what used to be a manI'm a thousand miles from nowhere
Time don't matter to me
I'm a thousand miles from nowhere
And there's no place I want to beI'm a thousand miles from nowhere
Time don't matter to me
I'm a thousand miles from nowhere
And there's no place I want to beOhhh II'm a thousand miles from nowhere
I'm a thousand miles from nowhereUh huh
Uh huh
Uh huh

His music characteristically employs unconventional blues tunings and structures, and his songs are often about the time he served in prison.
