Abhorrence Lyrics

A blood red darkened sky
This day here after dies
Falls swiftly into deepest night
And stay within the evil sightEvil thunder breaks the night
Breathless silence might
Sacrifices human kind
Evoke malicious of her mindFrom the ashes of the graveyard
Sacrament and pain
Lamentous screams of tortured souls
Temptation of their God'sHungry for essence of life
Sorrow and weeping words
Step by step the daylight leaves
Hallowed shadows of fearShall wither in her raven arms
Shall perish in embrace
Her love, her tears, the evil sideShall vanish for her thirst of blood
Shall shrivel for delight
Her love, her tear, the evil sideAmong the tomb of stone
Frozen hand of death

Where hungry lovers wait
Carry my soul to GodDescent the path of fear
No birds in dead trees
Where the mistress of life
Redeem me from my sinBlessed by their beauty
Mysterious sign
Candles flickers through the hell
Wolves howl by her sideI rise before the queen
In evil feathured dress
When she looks through my eyes
Vanish my sin of lifeShall wither in her raven arms
Shall perish in embrace
Her love, her tears, the evil sideShall vanish for her thirst of blood
Shall shrivel for delight
Her love, her tear, the evil side

Originating from Bruneck, Italy, Graveworm are a melodic/symphonic black metal band with influence of gothic metal. They were formed in 1997, and are themed towards sadness, death, love and occult. Even before Graveworm released any demo they got signed by Serenades Records, who saw an incredible show of the band close to their hometown Brunico. A demo was produced straight after, featuring classic hymns like "Eternal Winds" or "When The Sky Turns Black", which were featured on their debut album "When Daylight’s Gone".
