Adrenaline and Heresy Lyrics

Facing the crossroads we've come to
Waited and we're sinking thoughts of heresy
It's been slow, a good show, just the same
Been hanging on so long, hanging on for so longOut of your arms, into the absence pure
No collection of words can describe it, can describe it
A concrete conscience here is worth nil
Placebo pill full of bitter comfort, bitter comfortBeen watching, looking for a magic wand
Been looking for providence and watching for a sign
If time will show the reasons for speaking these words
I'd ask for no sentence in the absence of crimeShe said, "I still love you
I don't know if I want to spend the rest of my time with you
Rest of my life with you"She said, "I still love you
I don't know if I want to spend the rest of my time with you
Rest of my life with you"She said, "I still love you
I don't know if I want to spend the rest of my time with you
Rest of my life with you"High in adrenaline, it's a new day
High in adrenaline, it's a new day
High in adrenaline, it's a new dayHigh in adrenaline, it's a new day

High in adrenaline, it's a new day
High in adrenaline, it's a new day

Son Volt is an alternative country group which formed in 1994 in St. Louis, Missouri. The band currently consists of Jay Farrar (vocals, guitar), Chris Masterson (guitar), Andrew Duplantis (bass, vocals), Mark Spencer (keyboards) and Dave Bryson (drums). Farrar is the only original member remaining in the band. Son Volt formed after the breakup of the band Uncle Tupelo, owing to the simmering creative differences between songwriters Farrar and Jeff Tweedy. The group's members lived in Minneapolis, St Louis, and New Orleans at the time.
