Drown Lyrics

Sky cracks open
The walls falling through the floor
Just as well to keep it
A guessing game in storeYou're with me now, will be again
Other points in between
And the cruel, cruel mornings
Turn to days of swim or sinkIf living right is easy, what goes wrong
You're causing it to drown
Didn't want to turn that way
You're causing it to drownDoesn't make a difference now
You're causing it to drown
Silence knows, can't drown a heartHappenstance is falling
Through the cracks each day
Too close now to change it
Fool's gold is lighter anywayWhen in doubt, move on, no need to sort it out
You're with me now, will be again
Other points in between
And I want to find the right side of youIf living right is easy, what goes wrong

You're causing it to drown
Didn't want to turn that way
You're causing it to drownDoesn't make a difference now
You're causing it to drown
Silence knows, can't drown a heartWhen in doubt, move on, no need to sort it out
You're with me now, will be again
Other points in between
And I want to find the right side of youIf living right is easy, what goes wrong
You're causing it to drown
Didn't want to turn that way
You're causing it to drownDoesn't make a difference now
You're causing it to drown
Silence knows, can't drown a heart

Son Volt is an alternative country group which formed in 1994 in St. Louis, Missouri. The band currently consists of Jay Farrar (vocals, guitar), Chris Masterson (guitar), Andrew Duplantis (bass, vocals), Mark Spencer (keyboards) and Dave Bryson (drums). Farrar is the only original member remaining in the band. Son Volt formed after the breakup of the band Uncle Tupelo, owing to the simmering creative differences between songwriters Farrar and Jeff Tweedy. The group's members lived in Minneapolis, St Louis, and New Orleans at the time.
