Alarm Clock Music Lyrics

Wake up, Dilated, Dilated
Y'all know what time it is, check the clock
'Cause this here's alarm clock music
The alarm clock music
The alarm clock music
Pressin' the button, they tryin' to snoozeRing the alarm, shoot the flare, I'm here
Lay right there, you catch the Dana Dane "Nightmares"
They know it's caffeine, they try but can't sleep
They're hatin' but they rockin' to it while they count sheep'Cause this here's alarm clock music
Bang along beats like a bomb dropped to it
Pressin' the button, they tryin' to snooze
But their never been a man born with time to loseSo many freestyles I did when I was tourin'
But since I wrote 'em down, they view 'em as important
I do what I want, the way I see fit
And they think I'm from the Bay the way the flow B-LegitEvidence got another sound mission
Listen, biz and pleasure, what's the difference
As long as the shit's hittin', and weed's gettin' lit
Dilated we play some Pole Position'Cause this here's alarm clock music

Bang along beats like a bomb dropped to it
'Cause this here's alarm clock music
Bang along beats like a bomb dropped to itThe alarm clock music
The alarm clock music
The alarm clock music
Pressin' the button, they tryin' to snoozeYeah, 16 out of 16 bars, I spit are thrillers
8 out of 16 bars, you spit are fillers
And I got these beats game tight
Keep talkin' shit, just spell my name rightEvidence, make music, focus on the listener
I know I'm ghetto, use speakers as air conditioners
Feel the air blast
It's a hot day in L.A., right off FairfaxRakaa, Arabic name, not a nickname
That in the frame makes it hard to get planes
I stay fly through the clouds of slipped brain
Thinkin' how I loved hip-hop, but shit changedSome say we're too serious and conscious
Some say we're all battle raps and ganja
I say in your bad dreams we're monsters
Ratpackin' stages like Frank Sinatra'Cause this here's alarm clock music
Bang along beats like a bomb dropped to it
'Cause this here's alarm clock music
Bang along beats like a bomb dropped to itThe alarm clock music
The alarm clock music
The alarm clock music
Pressin' the button, they tryin' to snoozeYeah, right now we in the zone we belong
I let you know, right now you get warned
Right now before I sound the alarm
Let you know right now is the calm before the stormThe world changed, lands got conquered
Continents wandered, the planet got smaller
New York at 8 o'clock then head to Cali by flight
We got two shows, one on each coast the same nightYeah, the same fight for crumbs is not new to me
The hood sick even with free shots immunity
We need black and brown unity
So we need to keep that jail shit out of the communityPlus George got a few more years
That's a couple wars there and a couple wars here
Tricknowledgy propaganda and fear
Make it hard to believe your own eyes and ears'Cause this here's alarm clock music
Bang along beats like a bomb dropped to it
'Cause this here's alarm clock music
Bang along beats like a bomb dropped to itThe alarm clock music
The alarm clock music
The alarm clock music
Pressin' the button, they tryin' to snoozeThe alarm clock music

Dilated Peoples is a hip-hop group that has achieved great fame in the underground hip-hop community, although their only real mainstream success was the song This Way, a 2004 collaboration with Kanye West.

DJ Babu (from the DJ crew Beat Junkies), Evidence, and Rakaa joined together in 1992 in Los Angeles, CA and released Third Degree and Work The Angles, which were quickly established as favorites in the underground scene and among rap critics. They eventually signed to Capitol and in 2000 released The Platform, to more critical acclaim. Their sophomore set Expansion Team was released in 2001, led by the Alchemist-produced single Worst Comes To Worst, which sampled from Mobb Deep's Survival Of The Fittest. Their third album, Neighborhood Watch, was released in 2004 and debuted at #55 on USA's Billboard 200 Albums Chart. In addition to the Kanye West-produced single, This Way, it also featured the single Who's Who?, which was also included as a track on the Need for Speed: Underground and SSX 3 soundtracks, and peaked at #35 on the UK Singles Chart.

In 2006, they returned with the single Back Again, produced by The Alchemist. The trio's fourth album, 20/20, debuted on February 21, 2006.

In 2007 they released The Release Party. This package included a feature-length documentary on DVD as well as EP featuring new songs and remixes. The film, released through Decon, is a celebration of the release from their contract with Capital.
