Alive (The Rak Sessions) Lyrics

Just one step
A different day
Would I know you at all?
Would I know you at all?
When your kingdom falls
And you family fade
But it wasn't your fault
It was never your faultAnd I realise
You have to feel alive
And all your worries will escape through the door
And you'll wake up all alone on the floor
It's not too late
Just rely on me nowNine months on
And people fade
I wouldn't be here at all
I wouldn't be here at all
'Cause I fell in line
At a different place

And it wasn't my fault
No it was never my faultAnd I realise
You have to feel alive
Inside
And all your worries will escape through the door
And you'll wake up all alone on the floor
It's not too late
Just rely on me nowAnd all your worries will escape through the door
And you'll wake up all alone on the floor
It's not too late
Just rely on me nowAnd all your worries will escape through the door
And you'll wake up all alone on the floor
It's not too late
Just rely on me now

Gabrielle Aplin is the whipsmart teenage sensation with spirit in her voice and ability to bottle melodic lightning who, at 14, wrote her first song, Ghosts. At 17, she made it the title track of her first EP. At the same age, she set up her own label, Never Fade Records. Soon she had landed herself a booking agent and was plotting her own tours round the UK. By 18 she had released two further EPs and was running a profit making DIY artist’s enterprise – with plans already afoot to plough those profits back into other similarly inclined musicians she’d encountered along the way.
