Romeo Must Die Lyrics

You used to write me letters
You'd send me records in the post
Like 'born to run' by springsteen
You knew the songs i loved the most
But with the sweetest sorrow
I told you some things just won't last
For you and I are passed our dancing days
I said it's not your fault, I lied
I don't have time to watch you cry
I'm thinking Romeo must die- ie, ie- ie etc
I tried to treat you gently
I said I will always be your friend
But now your hands are empty
You don't know how to let this end
So with the sweetest sorrow
Let me spell it out for you
You and I are passed our dancing days

I said it's not your fault, I lied
I don't have time to watch you cry
I'm thinking Romeo must die- ie, ie- ie etc
Did you think I wouldn't notice
As if I wouldn't bat an eye
Did you think that you could hide it
All of your violent lies
(x 2)
I said it's not your fault, I lied
I don't have time to watch you cry
I'm thinking Romeo must die- ie, ie- ie etc
( x 2)

Gabrielle Aplin is the whipsmart teenage sensation with spirit in her voice and ability to bottle melodic lightning who, at 14, wrote her first song, Ghosts. At 17, she made it the title track of her first EP. At the same age, she set up her own label, Never Fade Records. Soon she had landed herself a booking agent and was plotting her own tours round the UK. By 18 she had released two further EPs and was running a profit making DIY artist’s enterprise – with plans already afoot to plough those profits back into other similarly inclined musicians she’d encountered along the way.
