All Our Own - Half Ghost

Half Ghost is a trio born out of Melbourne’s thriving indie music scene. Their refreshing sound is comprised of engaging melodies interspersed with stimulating bass lines and strikingly truthful lyrics.

Experimenting with electric drums, synthesisers and vocal layering – a style template that is indeed popular in the music scene right now, but that Half Ghost have made their own – allows the band’s creativity to prosper, and we as listeners are invited into quite an intimate space.

The honest lyrics are brought to life by lead singer Tim’s hauntingly emotive vocals, which he often builds to a staggering climax by oscillating between wistfully hoarse, and powerful and raw. He strays seamlessly between the two styles, exposing his every nerve and making for a relatable listening experience.

Despite the vast musical experience of all three band members - Timothy Ganderton, William Fletcher and Tom Livermore, Half Ghost is still young, and we can expect much more from the band in months to come so keep your eyes on their Facebook, Triple J unearthed and Souncloud pages.
