All of Me Lyrics

Been swallowing my debris
Without a trace of dignity
I'm living a fallacy
And been holding tight to all I can't keep
One memory, one memory
This time's the last I'll second guess
Your legacy, your legacy
This time's the last I will forget
So can't you take all of me
All of me, all of me?
Once and for all
Can't you take me?
So can't you take all of me
All of me, all of me?
Once and for all
Can't you take me?
I recognize the causes
Now I'm cutting out all my losses

Severing all the hindrance
Shedding the viral skin of infection
One memory, one memory
This time's the last I'll second guess
Your legacy, your legacy
This time's the last I will forget
So can't you take all of me
All of me, all of me?
Once and for all
Can't you take me?
So can't you take all of me
All of me, all of me?
Once and for all
Can't you take me?
You'd never believe the wolf I became
In moments of weakness and disarray
But now they can try to beat it out of me
I'm welcome to the challenge of emergency
Out of the halls of ruin
The slow burn slow, steady climb this time
'Bout to reverse the movement
And I'm quite sure you know just where I'm heading
So can't you take all of me
All of me, all of me?
Once and for all
Can't you take me?
So can't you take all of me
All of me, all of me?
Once and for all
Can't you take me?

Watashi Wa was a Christian pop/indie rock band from the Central Coast of California on Tooth & Nail Records. Watashi Wa is Japanese and roughly translated means, depending on the context, "I", "myself", or, "As for me." Fans have speculated that this is a reference to the Biblical "I am", a phrase used throughout the Old and New Testament of the Bible by God and Jesus. The band formed in 2000 when most of the members were still in their teens. They were first signed to indie label Bettie Rocket and released two albums before signing to Tooth & Nail in 2002.
