Alone In Your Dreams (Don't Say Goodbye) Lyrics

I saw you last night...alone in your dreams
You were so peaceful there...or that's how it seemed
But something is wrong...you feel it inside
No one can reach you there...but still you can't hide'cause dreams never lie
You can't if you try
It's not often easy to wake up...sometimesDon't say good-bye...don't say it's over
Don't say good-bye to the dreams of our love
Don't say good-bye...keep dreamin' for usA shot in the dark...like ships in the night
So we're both older now...well that's all right
'cause visions live on where memories have died
We've walked that road before...we'll get there this timeNow I know you tried
You tell me that you've had enough
You think it might be easier to just give upDon't say good-bye...don't say it's over
Don't say good-bye to the dreams of our love
Don't say good-bye...lean on my shoulder
Don't say good-bye...keep dreamin' for usTell ya baby...i can't stop thinkin'
'bout all those times you walked on out my door
Now I don't want you...say I don't need it

But I'll never--no never...let you goDon't say good-bye...and don't look back
Don't say good-bye to the dreams of our love
Don't look back...and don't say why
Don't turn back...keep dreamin' for usDon't don't oh yea
Don't don't --say why
Keep on dreamin'
Keep dreamin' for us

Billy Squier (born May 12, 1950, in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts) is a rock musician. Squier had a string of arena rock and power ballad hits in the 1980s. He is probably best known for the song "The Stroke" on his 1981 album release Don't Say No, which has been certified as Triple-Platinum by the RIAA. Other hits include "Lonely Is The Night", "Everybody Wants You", "Rock Me Tonite" and "In The Dark". Squier left the music industry in the mid-1990s, due in part to issues with his label. He has been active in the 2000s, touring both as a single artist and as a member of the 'Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band'. Before fronting the band titled in his name, Squire was the frontman of the power pop group Piper.
