She's A Runner Lyrics

Take my soul to the lost and found
An' girl she made me a hand me down
I never know when she'll come around or what I'll see
No resistance, it's hardly fair
Call my name, honey, I'll be there
Ooh, I'll give in to you anywhere, foolishly
I could never ever lie to you
I could never even try
I just wanna be beside you
She's a runner
She's a runner
Sweet emotion'll pass you by
Girl, she left me alone to cry
Oh, I still remember how she could make love to me
You see the traces they always show
Some may come and some may go
But one of us will never know what you see
Never wanted to rely on you

Never wanted you to try
I just wanna be beside you
She's a runner, anyone can see
She's a runner, ooh, she'll run all over me
She's a runner, you can't walk away
She's a runner, she can make you stay
She's gonna run you, babe
I need to listen to my advice
Aggravation ain't worth the price
Ooh, I can tell ya she won't think twice
She gonna knock down, put ya down, ooh yeah
She's a runner, anyone can see
She's a runner, oh, she tore it out a me
She's a runner, watch her walk away
She's a runner, you can't make her stay
Ooh, she's a runner babe
She's a runner
Ooh, she's a runner babe
She's a runner

Billy Squier (born May 12, 1950, in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts) is a rock musician. Squier had a string of arena rock and power ballad hits in the 1980s. He is probably best known for the song "The Stroke" on his 1981 album release Don't Say No, which has been certified as Triple-Platinum by the RIAA. Other hits include "Lonely Is The Night", "Everybody Wants You", "Rock Me Tonite" and "In The Dark". Squier left the music industry in the mid-1990s, due in part to issues with his label. He has been active in the 2000s, touring both as a single artist and as a member of the 'Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band'. Before fronting the band titled in his name, Squire was the frontman of the power pop group Piper.
