Already Mine Lyrics

When I was 16
I wanted a car so you'd notice me
And ask for my heart but soon I see
It wasn't working
It wasn't working
Then at 22
I smoked a cigarette to look like you
Did everything they said that I shouldn't do
It wasn't working
It wasn't working
After all the smoke has cleared
You and I are standing here
All that motions just a waste of time
Like a bottle without any wine
It was just a mask we hid behind
But I know it's true
Cause I wanted you but you're already mine
Now I'm in your room

Making the mistakes that I used to
Hoping for a girl to come to you
It isn't working
It isn't working
After all the smoke has cleared
You and I are standing here
All that motions just a waste of time
Like a bottle without any wine
It was just a mask we hid behind
But I know it's true
Cause I wanted you but you're already mine
Ohh
I could take my almost loves
And line them in a row
And shoot them down one by one
Like the Alamo
You could be the last one standing after the gun show
If only you had told me
You loved my long ago
Yeah all that motions just a waste of time
Like a bottle without any wine
It was just a mask we hid behind
But I know it's true
Yeah I know it's true
Yeah I know it's true
Cause I wanted you but you're already mine

There are more than one artist named Jesse Thomas. One is a female singer and the other is a lifelong blues musician. The two are mentioned below in that order. I. Jesse Thomas is a redheaded firecracker from Kentucky, whose whiskey soaked soul drips into every song that she sings. She released her first full-length album, War Dancer, on Valentines Day. In late 2008, with no money to her name, Jesse headed for Los Angeles. Alone. After a few open mic nights in the Valley and some raw demo recordings, she caught the attention of producer Jim Roach at Red Parade Music Group.
