Always Getting Better Lyrics

Yeah, there were times when I was lonely
And I lay here like a ghost upon my bed
I never thought about my friends, I never called up anyone
Was happy hiding out inside my headAnd then you came along, you loved me all up
First you calmed me down and then you took my hand
And as we lay under the sky and watched the planes go by
Well, I knew Id never be the same againSlow down, I wanna go with you
Cant we wait here awhile?
And I'll watch you smile
Well hide away, just let all the world go byAnd no reason why we sit and count the tears we cry
It's always getting better, it's always getting better
Leave the lonely days, close your eyes, let'em drift away
It's always getting better, it's always getting betterI have thought about your leaving for a long time now
And I guess that in the end Ill be alright
You know the blackness of your hair
The way your smile hits me everywhere
These are the things that conquer me at nightSlow down, I wanna to go with you
Cant we wait here awhile?

And I'll watch you smile
Come pouring out as we let all the world go byAnd no reason why we sit and count the tears we cry
It's always getting better, it's always getting better
Leave the lonely days, close your eyes, let them drift away
It's always getting better, it's always getting betterAnd lie down again, watch the moonlight streamin' in
It's always getting better, it's always getting better
