Sitiados was a famous portuguese pop/rock band formed around 1987. The name Sitiados was taken from a song of another important portuguese rock band called Mão Morta. Their main goal was to establish a knot between pop and portuguese traditional music, just like the irish band The Pogues.
Sitiados main figure was the precociously deceased João Aguardela (1969-2009). Other musicians who composed Sitiados along the time were José Resende, Mário Miranda, Fernando Fonseca, Manuel Machado...
