Angel Dance Lyrics

Good night, sleep tight
The big bright sun has gone away
You know it's gone awayGoodbye, don't cry
Tomorrow will bring us a brand new day
We can run and playAnd they'll laugh up and down the hall
Don't you go shout when you hear them fall
Let them fly right across the wall
Let them cry 'til the morning callsLittle angel dance
Little angel danceBig night, bright lights
Time now to lay them all to rest
Put 'em all to restBad guys, mean eyes
All gone away to where they belong
Let's just sing our songAnd they'll laugh up and down the hall
Don't go shout when you hear them fall
Let them fly across the wall
Let them cry 'til the morning callsLittle angel dance, hey
Little angel dance, oh
Little angel danceGood night, sleep tight

The big bright sun has gone away
Done and gone awayGoodbye, don't cry
Tomorrow will bring us a brand new day
We can run and playAnd they'll laugh up and down the hall
Don't go shout when you hear them fall
Let them fly across the wall
Let them cry 'til the morning callsLittle angel dance
Little angel dance
Little angel dance
Come on, come on, come on and dance, dance

Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England) is a British rock singer famous for being the lead vocalist of one of the most influential rock bands of all time: Led Zeppelin. He is known for his powerful style with a wide vocal range. After Led Zeppelin's breakup following the sudden death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, Plant pursued a successful solo career. Popular tracks from this period include "Big Log," "Tall Cool One," and "I Believe." In 1984, Plant formed a short-lived all-star group with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Phil Collins called The Honeydrippers, who had a Top Ten hit with a remake of the Phil Phillips' tune, "Sea of Love".

Plant's love of the music of Morocco led him to a new collaboration called Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation. The band's releases met with critical acclaim and numerous Grammy nominations. They completed the 2006 tour of Europe in September.

In 2007, Plant began recording and performing with bluegrass star Alison Krauss. A duet album, Raising Sand, was released on 23 October 2007 on Rounder Records. The album, recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles and produced by T-Bone Burnett met with enormous critical and commercial success.

The year of 2010 proves to be yet another successful year for the aging lemon squeezer. Durring the summer, Plant will be reuniting with his old, Pre-Zep group, The Band Of Joy, for a tour of the southern and mid continental tour of the US.
