Armour Love Lyrics

You pull on your armor
And put up defenses
Why do you want to?
Because I'm here to protect you
So take it easy
I'll make it so easy
You can lay your head down
And we'll leave it 'til tomorrowYou seem to believe you belong to somebody else
When you leave me alone in this world you know that I'm in hell
Do you know what it's like to be lonely and by yourself? When your life is tangled
You wear your disguises
But why do you need to
When I'm standing here beside you?
So take it easy
I'll make it so easyYou can lay your head down
And we'll leave it 'til tomorrowYou seem to believe you belong to somebody else
When you leave me alone in this world you know that I'm in hell
Do you know what it's like to be lonely and by yourself?Slipping through my fingers

And into anothers
Tell me why won't you turn back? You seem to believe you belong to somebody else
(You know what it's like, you shouldn't have to be told)
When you leave me alone in this world you know that I'm in hell
(It's not enough and you are running away)
When you know what it's like to be lonely and by your-self? [repeat 2x]

La Roux are an English electropop duo formed in 2008 in London, United Kingdom. The band consists of Elly Jackson (born 12 March 1988; singer and keyboardist) and Ben Langmaid (co-writer and co-producer). Their music is largely influenced by 80s pop music including Eurythmics, Depeche Mode, The Human League, Heaven 17, Yazoo and Prince. The name La Roux (pronounced lah-roo) is reported to be chosen when Elly found it in a book of baby names. La Roux comes from the mix of the French masculine word for "redhead" and the feminine article for "the", referring to Jackson's distinctive hairstyle.
