Since 1998, the Sorriso Maroto is a very successful pagode music group in Brazil. Together, Bruno (vocals), Cris (pandeiro), Sergio Jr. (guitar), Fred (surdo) and Vinícius (keyboard) have been drawing considerable attention everywhere they perform, proving themselves to be the "new kids on the block" in the Pagode scene, where many other talents have emerged into the musical market. The group was founded on northern Rio de Janeiro, and attained mainstream fame with the album Por Você (For you), recorded at Olimpo, a famous showhouse in Rio.
