At War Lyrics

I can see the desert I can see the stars.
But was it left for you or was it something that you had ignored, ignored?
Like your life.
And I can't see the future I can't see that far.
Was it left for you or was it saved?
Long ago.
And it's like we're at war.
And it's like we're at war with ourselves.
You can hold me down, you can make me sleep.
But you will never control what's inside of my head.
And it's in my head.
I can see the beach I can see the waves.
Was it left for you or was it saved, just for me?
And I can't see the future, I can't see that far.
Was it left for you, or did it leave a scar?
And it's like they've found an ocean,
It's like they've found an ocean in my head.

And it's like they've found an ocean,
It's like they've found it in my head.
And it's like we're at war.
And it's like we're at war with ourselves.
We are here and we are bred, to justify our lives.
We make enemies with our friends, to justify our lives.
And we run races that we can't win, to justify our lives.
We will pay for it in the end, to justify our lives.
And it's like we're at war.
And it's like we're at war with ourselves.
It's like, it's like we're at war.
And it's like we're at war with ourselves.
