Back To The Wall Lyrics

We're living in desperate times
These are desperate times my dear
There's no way out of here
There's no way out my dearI've been holding back all my tears
Just so the pressure don't show
Like a time bomb ticking away
I might blow up some dayDon't push, don't shove
You better watch what you doWhen my back's to the wall
I might do anything at all
When my back's to the wall
I might take any chance at all
When my back's to the wall
I might do anythingYou've got the upper hand
Well I've got nothing to lose
When I'm trapped in a corner like this
I might light the fuseThere's no way out of here
There's no way out my dear
Don't push me too far

You better watch what you doWhen my back's to the wall
I might do anything at all
When my back's to the wall
I might take any chance at all
When my back's to the wall
I might do anything at all
When my back's to the wall
I might do anything, anythingDon't push me too far
You better run for your lifeWhen my back's to the wall
I might do anything at all
When my back's to the wall
I might take any chance at all
When my back's to the wall
I might do anything at all
When my back's to the wall
I might do anything at allI've got nothing to lose, I might light a fuse
I've got nothing to lose, I might light a fuse
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Look out, look out
Don't come any closer
Look out, oh
Yeah, yeah, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Don't come any closer

No doubt best known for their ode to self-pleasure, Divinyls (often incorrectly referred to as "The Divinyls") - the core of the which is and has been fiery vocalist Christina Amphlett and guitarist Mark McEntee - were a long-standing fixture in the Australian scene during the 1980's, scoring multiple Australian hit singles in the early '80's before breaking big internationally with "I Touch Myself" and "Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore" in the early 90's.
