Heart Of Steel Lyrics

You should know by now
We all learn and how
We all get through somehow
It's the natural thing that should be understood
It's the natural thing that should be understood
If you think that loves is for good
I tell you I'm the one who misunderstood
If you think that love is for real
You're gonna need a heart of steel
You're gonna need a heart of steel
We all make mistakes
We should have what it takes
To get through all the heartaches
It's the natural thing that should be understood
It's the natural thing that should be understood
If you think that loves is for good
I tell you I'm the one who misunderstood
If you think that love is for real

You're gonna need a heart of steel
You're gonna need a heart of steel
You're gonna need a heart of steel
You're gonna need a heart of steel
That's for real, that's for real, yeah
Since you've been gone
[Incomprehensible} I just couldn't carry on
Since your goodbye
I thought I would just lay down and die
You better dry your eyes
You should've realized
But who am I to criticize?
It's the natural thing that should be understood
It's the natural thing that should be understood, yeah
If you think that loves is for good
I tell you I'm the one who misunderstood
If you think that love is for real
You're gonna need a heart of steel
You're gonna need one heart of steel
(A heart of steel)
A heart of steel
(Maybe one that's not real)
A heart of steel
(A heart, a heart , a heart that's cold)
A heart of steel
(Oh yeah yeah a heart of steel)
A heart of steel
(A heart, a heart , a heart of steel)
A heart of steel

No doubt best known for their ode to self-pleasure, Divinyls (often incorrectly referred to as "The Divinyls") - the core of the which is and has been fiery vocalist Christina Amphlett and guitarist Mark McEntee - were a long-standing fixture in the Australian scene during the 1980's, scoring multiple Australian hit singles in the early '80's before breaking big internationally with "I Touch Myself" and "Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore" in the early 90's.
