Balmes Lyrics

( ian pooley with vocals by esthero )Ohhh, oh oh oh.....
I think I need a change of scenery
Warm water sunshine on my foot?
Just like my daydream
And on the nightly?
Everything is hot and sticky
But it's ok
'cause no one plans to sleep here anyway
Ohhhhh.... be-because
We all want a better life
I think I found it in this place
Everthing is so sublime
You should come with me
We all want a better life
I think I found you just in time
And I feeling so divine
We all want a better life
And I'm not going home

I'm not ever going home
I think I need a change of scenery, yea
I think I need you to be here with me
Oh.....
We all want a better life
I think I found it in this place
Everything is so sublime
You should come with me
We all want a better life
I think I found you just in time
And I'm feeling so divine
We all want a better life
Come..... oh...... come.... better life....
Better life.... (music) ...
Better life....better life... better life...
Everything is hot and sticky
But it's ok
'cause no one plans to sleep here anyway
Ohhhh.... be-because
We all want a better life
I think I found it in this place
Everything is so sublime
You should come with me
We all want a better life
I think I found you just in time
And I'm feeling so divine
We all want a better life
Come..... oh.. come.....

German techno/house musician Ian Pooley (real name Ian Pinnekamp) debuted as half of T'N'I, a duo with dj Thomas "Tonka" Gerlach that released the EP Low Mass (Force Inc, 1991). The two morphed into Space Cube and eventually parted ways.
His early singles were collected on the first full-length under his own name, The Times (Force Inc, 1996). Meridian (V2, 1998) was substantially different from the "hard" style that had made his fortune, incorporating elements of pop, disco, soul and even jazz.
