Be A Man Lyrics

When you crawl, do you crawl for me?
When you come, oh, do you come for me?
'Cause you say you want someone who's devoted
You say you want someone who's not afraid to be strong
You say you want someone, someone not me, not me, no
'Cause I don't know what it takes to be a man
Doin' all the things that you said
Now I don't know what it takes to be me
And I don't know what it takes but I'll try
Tryin' hard like the next guy
All I know is I want to fall in love
When you cry, oh, do you cry for me?
When you fight, oh, do you fight to be free?
'Cause you say you want someone who's devoted
You say you want someone who's not afraid to be strong
You say you want someone, someone not me, not me, no
'Cause I don't know what it takes to be a man
Doin' all the things that you said

Now I don't know what it takes to be me
And I don't know what it takes but I'll try
Tryin' hard like the next guy
All I know is I want to fall in love, I want to fall in love
When you cry, well, don't cry for me
Don't cry for me, don't cry for me, not me, no
'Cause I don't know what it takes to be a man
Doin' all the things that you said
Now I don't know what it takes to be me
(I don't know what it takes to be me)
And I don't know what it takes but I'll try
Tryin' hard like the next guy
All I know is I want to fall in love
(I know is I want to fall in love)
I don't know what it takes but I'll try, I'll try, I'll try
I want to fall in love

Socialburn originated in the mid-'90s around high-school pals Neil Alday (vocals/guitar), Dusty Price (bass), and Brandon Bittner (drums). After forming on the fly in their tiny central Florida hometown, the group expanded into the scene in nearby Tallahassee. Listeners took a liking to their straightforward post-grunge growl, and Socialburn was soon a hit at local radio. By 2000, guitarist Chris Cobb had been added and a self-released CD had dropped. SB branched out with gigs in Jacksonville and Orlando, hoping to generate label interest in an area already buzzing with the success of Creed.
