Beat #6 vs. The World at Large - DJ501

501 is an independent DJ and producer based in southern California. He has been a DJ since the age of 15, when he first goaded his father into purchasing a Numark Battle Pack after seeing the film Better Living Through Circuitry and hearing BT's "Dreaming." As a producer, he owes his existence to internet piracy, which allowed him to first illegally download copies of Reason and Ableton and teach himself electronic music theory at the age of 17.
