Beautiful Place Lyrics

Mother, can we start over?
I wanna be the boy I was back then
For the world came, made me colder
I wanna feel the way I did back then
With love in my heartWe live in a beautiful place
Let love take away all this pain
We live in a beautiful place, ohWe wasted so many days
Our hearts are as dark as the rain
We live in a beautiful place, ohFather, can we start over?
Take me to the places that we lived
For the days came, made us older
I wanna feel the way I did back then
For my heart grew coldWe live in a beautiful place
Let love take away all this pain
We live in a beautiful place, ohWe wasted so many days
Our hearts are as dark as the rain
We live in a beautiful place, oh, ohOur hearts are as dark as the rain, oh
Our hearts are as dark as the rain, oh

It's a beautiful place if we make it
It's a beautiful place to be wasted, don't you know?We live in a beautiful place
Let love take away all this pain
We live in a beautiful place, ohWe live in a beautiful place
Let love take away all this pain
We live in a beautiful place, oh, ohWe wasted so many days
Our hearts are as dark as the rain
We live in a beautiful place, oh, oh

First trained as an oboist in a family of artists, Christina Antipa had been singing and writing songs since her early teens. A native to the West Coast, she now lives in Portland, Oregon, though it was in Arcata, California that she recorded what would become her debut album: "Goodbye Different Oceans". Masterfully written and minimally arranged, the tracks reveal a voice that is both weary and sharp, intelligent and kind. Sometimes reminiscent of Chan Marshall's or Tara Jane O'Neil's, it bears that unmistakable truthfulness, an intrinsic quality that permeates every song.
