Bee Face - Cilocub

Cilocub is Simon James Cookson, a musician/producer based in Manchester, UK. “March Febrile” is his debut commercial release, following a number of EPs that did the rounds with friends and family. He collaborated with musician and visual artist Kate Jessop, as “Newgrange”, on the electro-heavy “Crane” EP in 2004. His music is organic but defiantly electronic, weaving acoustic instruments with analogue synths, beats assembled from drum machines and live percussion, and found sounds taken from field recordings. Simon is also part of the film collective Asta Films, and much of the music from his 2005 EP, “Jkan” forms the soundtrack to the short film, “Perspex”, due to be released later this year.
