Believe In Me Lyrics

Hoo hoo hoo hoo
All I got to hold is a telephone
Feel the dead here
Rising from the dirty ground
Summer nights make you feel alone
Got ‘em me some new kids in this town
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
Just when I was thinking I’ve been moving on
Laid my eyes on a baby with a broken heart
Said I think we’re gonna get along
Said I wanna find out who you are
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
[Chorus]

Hey believe in me
’cause I believe in you
I need some company
What do you want to do?
Electricity, do you feel it too?
Hey believe in me
’cause I believe in you
Head’s playing tricks ’cause you feel like mine
Never been so easy with a girl like you
Wanna love you ’cause you look so fine
Who knows maybe one day it could be true
Hoo hoo hoo hoo
[Chorus]
Hey believe in me
’cause I believe in you
I need some company
What do you want to do?
Electricity, do you feel it too?
Hey believe in me
’cause I believe in you
Listen to me baby
Lie awaken
Count all the things you make this crazy
We’ll never know know what could be
If we don’t take this chance
Looking at me wanting just to touch you
Feel when I’m leaving. Read my mind
Fall asleep kiss, wake up making love
It’s so divine
[Chorus]
Hey believe in me
’cause I believe in you
I need some company
What do you want to do?
Electricity, do you feel it too?
Hey believe in me
’cause I believe in you
Hoo hoo hoo hoo

The Pierces, sisters Allison and Catherine, are a pair of singer-songwriters based in New York City (by way of Birmingham, Alabama and Nashville).

Former ballerinas turned songstresses, they released their self-titled debut in 2000 with Epic. The album was met with lukewarm reception, but the girls were undeterred. After moving to New York, they released Light Of The Moon with Universal in 2005, with similar luck. After leaving the label and their manager to make some serious changes, they recorded their third album with producer Roger Greenawalt and after having opened a week's worth of shows for Albert Hammond Jr. [Catherine Pierce's fiancee] in November 2006, the girls were greeted with much more enthusiastic reception and excellent press.

Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge was released in April 2007.

The Pierces recently gained even more press when they were featured on the December 5th episode of the hit TV show, "Gossip Girl".

However, despite Catherine's high-profile celebrity romance with the Strokes guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr., the increased publicity didn't translate into sales.

According to the You'll Be Mine Songfacts, the siblings were on the verge of calling it a day when a friend of theirs, Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman, offered to produce them. The result was The Pierces fourth album, You & I, their first release after signing to Polydor.
