Take You Home Lyrics

Hey, are you beautiful?
And were you sent here
To love me?
Hey, are you warm inside?
Cause my nights are cold
Cause my days are alone
Can't believe my eyes
This metamorphosis
Right before my eyes
A change took place
And I'd like to take you home
Cause I've been so alone
Would you fill this empty space
With your lovely face?
Hey, will you hold me 'till
All this empty surrenders
Cause I, cannot find the light
In these old and darkened nights

But I'm as full as a song
With no one there to sing
And I am fighting with my heart
And this voice that you bring..
Cause I'd like to take you home
Cause I've been so alone
Would you fill this empty space
With your lovely face?
Ohh, you make me beautiful
Will you stay here?
And love me?
For I have never known
Nights so warm
Or days so bright
Look into my eyes
This metamorphosis
Right before you eyes
A change takes place,.
And I'd like to take you home
Cause I've been so alone
Would you fill this empty space
With your lovely face?
And I'd like to take you home
Cause I've been so alone
Would you fill this empty space
With your lovely face?

The Pierces, sisters Allison and Catherine, are a pair of singer-songwriters based in New York City (by way of Birmingham, Alabama and Nashville).

Former ballerinas turned songstresses, they released their self-titled debut in 2000 with Epic. The album was met with lukewarm reception, but the girls were undeterred. After moving to New York, they released Light Of The Moon with Universal in 2005, with similar luck. After leaving the label and their manager to make some serious changes, they recorded their third album with producer Roger Greenawalt and after having opened a week's worth of shows for Albert Hammond Jr. [Catherine Pierce's fiancee] in November 2006, the girls were greeted with much more enthusiastic reception and excellent press.

Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge was released in April 2007.

The Pierces recently gained even more press when they were featured on the December 5th episode of the hit TV show, "Gossip Girl".

However, despite Catherine's high-profile celebrity romance with the Strokes guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr., the increased publicity didn't translate into sales.

According to the You'll Be Mine Songfacts, the siblings were on the verge of calling it a day when a friend of theirs, Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman, offered to produce them. The result was The Pierces fourth album, You & I, their first release after signing to Polydor.
