Divo was born on May 11, 1978 in the city Olongapo, Philippines. He was the third sibling of Clemente and Lewelyn. Other siblings were Weng, Lot and Deck. Singing is an in-born talent of Divo. At an early age, he joined several contest already and bagged all the prices. At first, his family don’t believe his talent but eventually supported him all the way.

Prior to pop icon he is now, he worked as marketing assistant at the Duty-Free. It was his first means of bringing home bacon and learned the big lesson of working confidently in whatever field one goes into. After Duty-Free, he found himself a dealer in the casino.

The moment he realized that people enjoyed his singing ability, he began to contemplate seriously on performing. He joined and fronted several bands like True Colors, Toy Symphony and Elements.
