Better Part of Me (New Shorter Version) Lyrics

Something says to me don't be afraid
But if I don't worry I'll surely slip away
I need to speak to you, hear what you say
But if I breathe too hard I think I'll go insaneThere's a part of me so insecure
Of all that I could have
And all that I've gone through
If there could be a way through a better design
I'd probably screw it up and let it slip awayWell I wonder if I stayed here
Would you become a better part of me
I can say now that you changed me
And I've become a better part of meI am the strongest I've ever been
The very thought of you can't even comprehend
The safest bet for me is to focus hard
And try to face myself
Can't take it anymoreWell I wonder if I stayed here
Would you become a better part of me
I can say now that you changed me
And I've become a better part of meWell I wonder if I stayed here

Would you become a better part of me
I can say now that you changed me
And I've become a better part of meI hope I'm everything that I need to be
You are my everything, so I'll just stayWell I wonder if I stayed here
Would you become a better part of me
I can say now that you changed me
And I've become a better part of meWell I wonder if I stayed here
Would you become a better part of me
I can say now that you changed me
And I've become a better part of meA better part of me

The roots of Course of Nature entered the music scene with the singer, Mark Wilkerson, and guitarist, John Milldrum, in the band Cog. The band only released one album when Mark and John were involved, No Time At All, in March of 2001. After this they decided to leave the band and head in their own direction. Rickey Shelton joined them and they recorded an album. Their name is rather interesting due to the fact that while they had originally picked the name "Pull", they decided on the name "Course of Nature", which had been a track on the album Cog had earlier released.
