Could I've Been Lyrics

Could I've been
Something more than what I've become
Really wonderful than some
Then today, well I heard a sad sad song I sang
And it was wonderful with pain
And I stopped believing and I started thinking
It could be my mind that's got me all choked up inside
With thoughts of all those fears I hide
And I stop thinking, now I start believing you
We could share our time that means nothing if you aren't mine
And if I knew you cared about me
'Cause people love to be loved too
I step aside and watch my life pass me by
You were supposed to be my wife
And I stopped believing and I started thinking
And now I find that this thorn stuck in my side
Is all that's left of foolish pride
And I stop thinking, now I start believing you

We could share our time that means nothing if you aren't mine
And if I knew you cared about me
'Cause people love to be loved too
We could share our time that means nothing if you aren't mine
And if I knew you cared about me
'Cause people love to be loved too

The roots of Course of Nature entered the music scene with the singer, Mark Wilkerson, and guitarist, John Milldrum, in the band Cog. The band only released one album when Mark and John were involved, No Time At All, in March of 2001. After this they decided to leave the band and head in their own direction. Rickey Shelton joined them and they recorded an album. Their name is rather interesting due to the fact that while they had originally picked the name "Pull", they decided on the name "Course of Nature", which had been a track on the album Cog had earlier released.
