Black And Blue Lyrics

There are no stars tonight
There are no words to say
I feel my soul losing you
Where did the good times go
Baby what can we do
Color our love
Black and blue
Black and blue
When our hearts were young
Clinging to each other
Moonlight used to glow
When our hearts were young
Then there was no other
Why'd we let it go
Down on the avenue
You can forget your name
Paint pretty pictures, false and true
Picture what we've become

Running is all we do
Color our love
Black and blue
Black and blue
Looks like a storm tonight
Look like a storm tonight
A storm is overdue
A storm is overdue
Color our love
Color our love
Black and blue
Black and blue

Barry Manilow (born June 17, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York, United States) is an American pop singer-songwriter, musician, arranger, producer, conductor, and performer, best known for such recordings as "Could It Be Magic", "Mandy", "Can't Smile Without You", and "Copacabana (At the Copa)."

In 1978, five of his albums were on the best-selling charts simultaneously, a feat equaled only by Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen and Johnny Mathis. Several well-known entertainers have given Manilow their "stamp of approval," including Sinatra, who was quoted in the 1970s regarding Manilow, "He's next." In 1988, Bob Dylan stopped Manilow at a party, hugged him and said, "Don't stop what you're doing, man. We're all inspired by you."

As well as producing and arranging albums for other artists, such as Bette Midler and Dionne Warwick, Manilow has written songs for musicals, films, and commercials. From February 2005 to December 30, 2009, he was the headliner at the Las Vegas Hilton, performing hundreds of shows before ending relationship with the hotel.
