Black Is the Colour Lyrics

Black is the color of my true loves hair
His lips are like some roses fair
He has the sweetest smile and the gentlest hands
And I love the ground whereon he stands
I love my love and well, he knows
I love the ground whereon he goes
I wish that day would soon come
When he and I can be as one
I go to the Clyde and I mourn and weep
For satisfied I never sleep
I write him letters just a few short lines
And I suffer death ten thousand times
Black is the color of my true loves hair
His lips are like some roses fair
He has the sweetest smile and the gentlest hands
And I love the ground whereon he stands
I love the ground whereon he stands
I love, I love, I love the ground whereon he stands

Enjoy the lyrics !!!
Tina Mulrooney is a harpist and traditional Irish ballad singer from Co, Clare in the rugged west of Ireland.

Tina has and still performs through out the summer months for the past 23 years at the world famous Cliffs of Moher and is now one of the controversial licensed musicians on the site. In the Spring of 2006, Clare co council issued all the musicians including Tina with notices to vacate the site and that music was never to be heard live at the Cliffs again. Tina and a number of other musicians began campaigning to save their livelihoods and to keep music alive on what was to become the new Cliffs of Moher experience. Their campaign became worldwide knowledge and the papers and TVs brought their stories into thousands of homes nationally and internationally. Clare county council then had to meet with the group and licenses were issued to a certain number of long term musicians. Overall the last few years have proved that the musicians are very welcome by tourists from all over the globe.

My new cd Beneath the Moher sky is now available from her website: http://tinamulrooney.com/CDs.html
