Blind Date Lyrics

So, you wanna go out with me
Watch me get on my knees and bleed?
I stole this scrapbook from you
Doesn't matter 'cause you stole it tooSugarcoated kisses from my lips
Gives the excitement of a stolen bliss
To create, to love and fight
To create, to love and fight
To create, to love and fight
We won't sleep at all tonightSo, you wanna watch me scream
Dance with me and watch me bleed?
Steal the sound and love it too
Then baby, I'll howl for you
Confused and exhausted with a healthy fix
Let's drink some potion, get it over withShake it around, shake it around, shake it around
Move across town, bring their idols down
Shake it around, shake it around, shake it around
Move across town, kick their idols downThey're screaming 'bout the rock 'n' roll
I would say that it's getting old

Belongs to the museums
It's rotten soul been soldExplosive and crude
Out of line and out of tune
Somehow knowing that
We'll get the message throughHang on as the rebirth of cool takes place
You'll know the time, we'll set the paceSo, you wanna go out with me
Watch me get on my knees and bleed?
I stole this scrapbook from you
Doesn't matter 'cause you stole it toSugarcoated kisses from my lips
Gives the excitement of a stolen bliss
To create, to love and fight
We won't sleep at all tonightShake it around, shake it around, shake it around
Move across town, bring their idols down
Shake it around, shake it around, shake it around
Move across town, kill their idolsShake it around, shake it around, shake it around
Move across town, brake their idols down
Shake it around, shake it around, shake it around
Move across town, kick their idols down

The Bouncing Souls are a punk band, formed in 1987. They are originally from New Brunswick, New Jersey. By the time they were recognized by the national punk scene, they had reignited a "pogo" element to New Jersey punk rock by playing fast light-hearted songs, a model followed by various other local bands (e.g. Blanks 77 and the Bristles). In the early stages of their career, they played a hybrid of punk, funk, metal, and just about anything else they felt like including. They were known for their energetic live shows, albeit with an amateurish element on their recordings at that stage.
