Blue Streak Mama Lyrics

I was just busy
Talking to blue streak mama
I was talking to blue streakI was just busy
Talking to blue streak mama
I was talking to blue streakLord up above, can you hear me, I been so tired, I been so tired
Lord up above, can you hear me, I been so tired
There was a part of me, that wanted out of a situation
But you know, wuh ho, I couldn't let go
There was a part of me, that wanted out of a situation
But you know, wuh ho, I couldn't let goI was just busy
Talking to blue streak mama
I was talking to blue streakI was just busy
Talking to blue streak mama
I was talking to blue streakThere I go now, I been thinking about you baby, thinking about you
There I go now, I been thinking about you baby
No I can't get used, to the change in you
I tried to bend, and then, I think I might break
No I can't get used, to the to the change in you

I tried to bend, and then, I think I might breakWhy does it tumble, why does it fall
Think you got something, you got nothing at all
nothing at all, nothing at all
Why does it tumble, why does it fall
Think you got something, you got nothing at all
nothing at all, nothing at allNo I can't get used, to the to the change in you
I tried to bend to bend, but then, I think I might break
No I can't get used, to the the change in you
I tried to bend to bend, and then, I couldn't let goI was just busy
I was just busy
I was just busy

Frazey Ford is a Canadian singer-songwriter. She was a founding member of The Be Good Tanyas. Her solo debut Obadiah was released on Nettwerk on July 20, 2010.
Ford cites Rhythm and Blues singers Ann Peebles, Roberta Flack, and Donny Hathaway as influences, and this is evident in her debut album. Jenny Charlesworth of The Georgia Straight wrote that a few of the songs "swing with a mellow neo-soul beat enlivened by buttery vocals".
