Blue Velvet Lyrics

She wore Blue Velvet
Bluer than velvet was the night
Softer than satin was the light
From the stars
She wore Blue Velvet
Bluer than velvet were her eyes
Warmer than May her tender sighs
Love was ours
Ours a love I held tightly
Feeling the rapture grow
Like a flame burning brightly
But when she left gone was the glow of
Blue Velvet
But in my heart there'll always be
Precious and warm a memory through the years

And I still can see Blue Velvet through my tears

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

The Moonglows were an influential American R&B and doo-wop group based in Cleveland, Ohio. The original group was composed of Bobby Lester, Harvey Fuqua, Pete Graves and Prentiss Barnes, along with guitarist Billy Johnson. Originally known as The Crazy Sounds, they were renamed by Cleveland DJ Alan Freed, who was known on the air as Moondog, and who decided to heavily promote the group. Marvin Gaye joined the group in 1958, and they later disbanded in 1960.
