Bold As Brass Lyrics

Make a move, get off your spine
Shake your leg, toe the line
Mum's the word, the doctor said
Try your hand at this insteadStanding fast as bold as brass
Holding on until the last
Call the tune and play it all day long
There's a song that's just begun
Strikes a chord in everyone
It's the decent thing to do your bestRisk you take when on the make
Is falling down upon the ground
That's the breaks, a bone or two
Bring's it home, it's up to youStanding fast as bold as brass
Holding on until the last
Call the tune and play it all day long
There's a song that's just begun
Strikes a chord in everyone
It's the decent thing to do your bestThey're gonna move my spineMake a move, get off your spine
Shake your leg, tow the line

Mum's the word, the doctor said
Try your hand at this insteadStanding fast as bold as brass
Holding on until the last
Call the tune and play it all day long
There's a song that's just begun
Strikes a chord in everyone
It's the decent thing to do your bestla-de-da-da-da-de-dah
la-de-da-da-da-de-dah
la-de-da-da-da-de-dah-la-da
la-de-da-da-da-de-dah
la-de-da-da-da-de-dah
la-de-da-da-da-de-dah-la-da

Harlequin Jones rebel against any easy categorization, calling the songs roughly "piano punk, and blues." Some onlookers also consider them as the cult genre dark cabaret.
The music mixes catchy dark pop hooks with lush, low female vocals. Once considered an art experiment, Harlequin Jones have honed their originality and skill into something more tangible. Amanda von Loon's trashy elegance on piano along with rich, lush, deep vocals compliment Jesse Arcadio's part jazz-master part scrap metal machine drummings to result in a synergy of moxie, chemistry and talent.
