Booekim (Bear) - Trestles

Justin Bahniuk and Michael Gates met at Graceland University, Lamoni Iowa, in 1998. Bahniuk was a music performance major and Gates a commercial design major. Both were involved with numerous bands in college, but did not begin creating electronic music together until 2003, when both were living in Des Moines Iowa. Trestles was born in November of that year. Although Gates and Bahniuk came from different musical backgrounds, both found common ground with interests in vintage electronic music, american sub-cultures, and surreal art.
