The Procedure formed in central New Jersey in 2001 as a group of five friends wanting to express themselves musically, socially, and intellectually in the local hardcore scene. With a wide diversity of tastes (ranging from indie to black metal and everywhere in between) The Procedure have created a unique musical amalgam. The songs may conjure thoughts that range from the technicality of bands like Shai Hulud and Cave In, the addictive sing alongs of bands like Ensign and The Hope Conspiracy, and the haunting melodies of bands like Sensefield and Thursday.
