Joe Johnston can refer to two artists:

1) Film director, know for films such as Captain America: The First Avenger and The Rocketeer.

2) Musician. Growing up, Joseph Johnston never liked reading, or television. Out of this, his passion for music was born because he realized, "how else am i going to get chicks?"
