Cast No Shadow Lyrics

Cast no shadow on the floor
There's another day coming through the window
And there's no need to find somewhere else to go
For I still believe in youDraw no curtain across your life
There's another way to meet the darkness
And anyway you won't be on your own
For I still believe in youWho killed your innocence ?
Who's buried your beliefs ?
Who took a sight of an empty road ?
Who's the one who called you a thief ?
Oh, it was no other man
Oh, it was no other man
It was you
Take all the sadness from your eyes
There's no one else going to look at you
And even though you know now what it's like to lose
I still believe in you

Duncan Browne (25 March 1947 — 28 May 1993) was a singer-songwriter from England whose début album "Give Me, Take You", a melancholy baroque folk album often compared to Nick Drake's albums, was released on Andrew Loog Oldham's Immediate label in 1968. Together with two other multi-instrumentalists, Peter Godwin and Sean Lyons, Browne formed the band Metro whose debut ('Metro') was released in the late '70s on the Transatlantic label.
