Chovendo na Roseira - Couple Coffee

COUPLE COFFEE is the musical marriage of LUANDA COZETTI and NORTON DAIELLO, brazilian musicians. She does just about everything she wants with her voice. He does some solos as well as accompaniment, and more than that, his bass sings. From this alchemy, a surprising, sophisticated, astounding and original music is born. The rapport with the public is instantaneous. No one is immune or indifferent to this virtuoso duo.

DISCOGRAPHY:

1) PURO (Transformadores/2005)
The recording started in Rio de Janeiro and was finalized in Lisbon, Portugal, where the duo now resides. The repertoire includes classic Brazilian songs that cover all eras, from Noel Rosa to Djavan, with surprising new arrangements. Is it jazz? Pop? MPB (Brazilian Popular Music)? It is all of those and a whole lot more. It's Music with a capital M! The Portuguese label Transformadores embraced the project completely and invited some big names to join in: Vitorino and Jorge Palma (vocals), Gabriel Gomes (Madredeus's accordionist), Sergio Costa (flutist) and J.P. Simões (Quintet Tati). The combination of these artists' sensibilities added a new dimension to this Luso-Brazilian dialog.

2) CO'AS TAMANQUINHAS DO ZECA (Transformadores/2007)

Tribute to Zeca Afonso, singer and songwriter who died 20 years ago. 16 tracks, from lyricism to protest songs, with audacious arrangements wich give freshness to Zeca's message. Luanda and Norton invited guitarist Sérgio Zurawski (Zurawski Ensemble) and percussionist Ruca Rebordão (Rão Kyao, Teresa Salgueiro) to join this project.
