Coldwater Canyon Lyrics

So I find you there again,
shipwrecked on the backstep, and laughing.
I'm talking to the screen, and your mind's eye, another restless daydream.
That you find easier than truth, and bigger than the days,
that you've been livin' through. And now you're there with your senses blown open wide,
and you're tied down watching 'til you're hypnotised.
And you know that you'll be awake again sometime.
And out of this, you're still alive.Sitting by the side, of the railway line.
Nowhere else to be.
And changing with the light, the edges are things,
you only think you see.And now you're there with your senses blown open wide,
and you're tied down watching 'til you're hypnotised.
And you know that you'll run and ground again sometime.
And get out of this, still alive.
Still alive. Still alive.
Get outta this, get outta this, get outta this, still alive.
Get outta this, get outta this, get outta this, still alive.

Something for Kate formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 1994. The founding members of the three-piece band were vocalist and guitarist Paul Dempsey, bass player Julian Carroll (later to be replaced by Stephanie Ashworth) and drummer Clint Hyndman. After recording a 7-track demo in 1995, the band signed to Murmur Records, a subsidiary of Sony. In 1996, they released the 7-track EP The Answer to Both Your Questions, recorded and mixed by Greg Atkinson of Sydney band Big Heavy Stuff.
