Sea Sick Lyrics

I TRIED TO SAVE YOU BUT YOU (JUST PUSHED ME A) WAY!
WE, WE HAVE, A PROBLEM ON OUR HANDS
I, CANT SEEM, TO MEET ALL YOUR DEMANDS
Maybe someday we’ll meet again
Maybe someday ill believe in you again
But as I step back and watch the sails drown
I feel my feet touch solid ground
Your lust is a hurricane, my heart is the sea
You pushed me and used me, destroyed everything
A journey lies ahead and I cannot pretend that all of this is true
So further ill trudge on through the aftermath of you
YOU, WERENT WORTH, A SECOND OF MY TIME
I, HAVE FOUND OUT, WHERE I BELONG!
YOU WERENT WORTH A SECOND OF MY TIME
I HAVE FOUND OUT WHERE I BELONG

You know I love you but you’re not worth risking
Losing something I’ve given my life for
Maybe someday you’ll see what I see
But look quickly cuz this ship is sinking
Maybe someday we’ll meet again
Maybe someday I’ll believe in you again
But as I step back and watch the sails drown
I feel my feet touch solid ground
Your lust is a hurricane, my heart is the sea
You pushed me and used me, destroyed everything
A journey lies ahead and I cannot pretend that all of this is true
So further ill trudge on through the aftermath of you
(I BROUGH YOU) A ROSE TO show you I cared
(I THOUGHT I) COULD SAVE YOU but you were never truly there
(I GAVE YOU) MY LIFE AND you threw it all away
(ILL TAKE YOU) DOWN WITH ME! Your life’s not worth a day
(I BROUGH YOU) A ROSE TO show you I cared
(I THOUGHT I) COULD SAVE YOU but you were never truly there
(I GAVE YOU) MY LIFE AND you threw it all away
(ILL TAKE YOU) DOWN WITH ME! Your life’s not worth a day

Something for Kate formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 1994. The founding members of the three-piece band were vocalist and guitarist Paul Dempsey, bass player Julian Carroll (later to be replaced by Stephanie Ashworth) and drummer Clint Hyndman. After recording a 7-track demo in 1995, the band signed to Murmur Records, a subsidiary of Sony. In 1996, they released the 7-track EP The Answer to Both Your Questions, recorded and mixed by Greg Atkinson of Sydney band Big Heavy Stuff.
